Anatomy of Your Flooring Project

Below is a short list of what to expect during the life span of your hard wood flooring project.

New Floor Installations

  1. Estimate

  2. Educate homeowner

  3. Decide upon species and dimensions ( size)

  4. Schedule start date, sign contract

  5. Order wood, delivered to home 1-to-2 weeks prior to job start for declamation

  6. Prepare jobsite for install; tearout carpet, pad, tile, vinyl/underlayment, etc. & dispose

  7. Installation; layout, cut, nail down or snap together material (weather permitting we cut outdoors).

  8. Sand finish - the actual sanding, staining, sealing, and finishing of the floor- almost done.

  9. Wrap up - hang doors, tuck carpet, install baseboards if desired

Existing Floors/Refinish Work

  1. Estimate, education process

  2. Schedule start date, sign contract

  3. Choose color and type of finish

  4. Sand/finish, the actual sanding, staining, sealing and finishing of the floor

  5. Wrap up - hang doors, tuck carpet, install baseboards if desired
