Floor Care Information
Thoroughly sweep or vacuum the entire floor. If using a vacuum be sure not to use the beater brush ( use the air suction only). Vacuum rugs and "walk off" mats regularly. Utilize the BonaKemi wood floor cleaner and wipe kit available at most hardware or grocery stores.
Never wax or oil your hardwood floor as you may inhibit the re-coat possibilities.
Homeowner Floor Maintenance
- Daily or every other day cleaning of your floor will keep floors looking beautiful for many years. We recommend BonaKemi floor cleaning kit available at most hardwood and grocery stores.
- Never slide furniture across your floor unless the furniture is felt padded.
- Wipe up food or drink spills right away with a damp paper towel or cloth, and follow with BonaKemi cleaner.
- Keep your dog's toenails clipped and keep high heels in good repair.
- Aside from general sweeping, vacuuming and swiffing at the first sign of major wear, you may consider a screen and coat (explained under refinishing services).
